Jaime DeSimone is chief curator at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine, where she specializes in contemporary art and feminist art history. She previously held curatorial positions at the Portland Museum of Art in Maine, MOCA Jacksonville, and the Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover, Mass. DeSimone has curated more than 40 exhibitions, including Joan Jonas: An Island Departure with Nancy Holt and Robert Smithson (2025); Ann Craven: Painted Time (2020–2024) (2025); Anne Buckwalter: Manors (2025); Jeremy Frey: Woven (2024); Flying Woman: The Paintings of Katherine Bradford (2022); and Down North: The North Atlantic Triennial (2021-2024). Her exhibitions have been widely reviewed in Artforum, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and Hyperallergic. She is the recipient of the 2019 Curatorial Research Fellowship from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and was a 2021–22 Fulbright Scholar. DeSimone has a master’s degree in art history from American University and a bachelor’s in art history from Bates College.
